I'm trying to come up a budget for a Chinese musical. I use the sample from Donald Farber's book "From Option to Opening". There are several jobs I don't know what they are doing. I really appreciate nyone who can help me:
Under Fee category, there are:
1. Video Design
2. Video director/camera/edit/prog
3. Sound designer
4. Technical Supervisor
5. Video talent
Also under Physical production category, there is
Video prep $20000
Video purchase $15000
what have these got to do with the musical?

The Video Designer came up with the concept for the video, what
it should like like, and how it should be used in the show. The
director made it actually happen.

3. Sound designer

Worked out what the sound should sound like, including what gear
should be used; processing, and speaker placement, and so forth.

4. Technical Supervisor

This sounds like a variation of technical director, who makes
sure that all the technical aspects are in place. If there is a
technical director listed, the supervisor likely follows his
directions. If there is no technical director, this is probably
an alternate title for that position.

Anyone performing in the video.

Obviously, there are video components to the show. I know Shen
Yun has an extensive video to enhance their production.
