TRAVERSE CITY, Mich. (AP) — A Michigan elementary school
principal says students are back to singing "gay apparel" in a
well-known Christmas carol after a music teacher had them sing
"bright apparel" instead.
Cherry Knoll Elementary School Principal Chris Parker told
television station WPBN on Monday that he was disappointed with
the decision to make the change to "Deck the Halls" after
children kept giggling.
One line in the popular version of the song is "Don we now our
gay apparel," referring to festive holiday clothing.
Parker says it's a teachable moment for the educator and
students at the school in the Traverse City Area Public Schools
district.
The students have a concert this month where they'll perform
Christmas songs.
And you posted this off-topic article here because?
The group is full of sexual deviates who don gay apparel.

What's stupid about this is that the song is so well known that the kids
*know* it's been changed, and know why, and thus have even more reason
to giggle.

And the teacher might not be pro-gay. He might be anti-gay and that's
why he made the change. And he might be a fundamentalist Christian who
didn't want to use the word for fear it would infect the kids.

But of course the subject line was not chosen out of ignorance.

He's clearly the latter. A complete LOON.

You're right. BIGOTS are often even *more* DISHONEST than
they are ignorant.
