Saw Daniel Radcliffe in "How to Succeed…" last night. I was, frankly,
quite impressed. Not an atom of Harry Potter, and, by the end of the
night, when he and John Laroquette made a curtain speech for Broadway
Cares/Equity Fights AIDS, his normal voice and accent came almost as a
shock. He's no John Raitt, but neither is Robert Morse, and, if his
dancing wasn't quite as crisp as the gypsies', it was still
professional.
I admit I've been very impressed by the "Harry Potter" kids; watching
them mature has been almost like witnessing a miracle. I figure in
about eight years now, Radcliffe is going to make quite a Hamlet.

"You can, if you wish, class all science-fiction together; but it is
about as perceptive as classing the works of Ballantyne, Conrad and W.
W. Jacobs together as the 'sea-story' and then criticizing _that_."
